20 Rebirth
As I look at this card I am struck but the feeling of light and life the dawning of a new day – the scene is set around midwinter and yet there seems so much hope and renewal . The two trees seem to be like pillars guarding the way forward. There is a feeling of ancientness and cycles of nature being beyond our own lives.

I walk into the card.....
It feels cool as I walk into the landscape, I feel the sun on me, it warms me up slowly and as it does so I feel the old energies of a life gone past being burnt out of my aura. I am filled with warmth and renewal. It is like I can be reborn and start my life again – I walk towards the two trees. “Oh trees what guidance can you give me?” I say – “Be strong like a tree. We are the gateway to your new life – as you let go of the old you are cleansed to walk the new way. Hold true to yourself as you walk forward – for your new pathway will feel different, perhaps even alien, to you, fear not though and take each step in the confidence that you have let go of nothing that you will need in the future, and that your future is indeed waiting for you to embrace it. We each know, as trees, that the cycle of renewal is everlasting we travel through each season – letting go and then knowing that we will be renewed again in spring from buds. It is like the buds of your new life are being formed in you as we speak. The warmth and innocence of this sun is doing its magic – as your self feels and understands this there is no need to push forward or to fear the change, it will happen in the time that is right – it has begun, even though you might feel impatience at the time it takes to come to fruition. Call upon us to be your strength – holding strong in the time and place, so that you can allow your new leaves to grow with the sun and warmth nurturing them. ”
“Thank you” I say “Words of wisdom indeed – I am often so impatient with change and want to see the outcome as soon as I feel the growth in me.”
I turn back and realise I have missed the ivy and the holly round the edge of the card in my haste to reach the sun! Symbolic indeed of my tendency to rush forward without seeing the surroundings. “Ivy, I am sorry for ignoring you upon my entrance into your world. I humbly ask you for your meaning here. ”
“I symbolise Christmas, Yule, Solstice and the turning of the seasons. I wind round my host appreciating the support others give me. Notice the support others give you as you change path – and though I am known to take too much in some situations, know that this is my season and the time you can most allow yourself to draw together with others for support and love – others holding you up as you grow forward. I will let go at some point as it is your destiny to hold yourself in your own power, but I come as a gift for you to know when to receive support and when to let go and stand alone” (interestingly mistyped initially as allone). “Thank you ivy. Where am I now?”
“As you transition this phase in your life you are to let go of some familiar comfortable supports and reach out to those 'trees' nearby who will support you for the next stage of your journey – you don't need to fully let go before you start to embrace the new support – but more and more of your new energy will be following this new branch of life. Allow both the embracing and the letting go – rush neither and you will find you have all the support you need.”

“And holly with your berries – what do you represent?”
“I am the fruit of your work from the past, though I may be fruitful at times where other plants are closing down for winter, I am here to say do not limit your success to be at the times expected from others and from 'statistics' – you can achieve success in your own correct times and seasons – for not even all nature obeys the same clock – you too will obey your own independent clock, not that imposed upon you by the general trends.”
“I am also representative of your ability to defend yourself – just by being yourself. I am spiky and creatures know that I can be painful and act accordingly – it is not that I attack any one merely that by being myself others know my boundaries – rarely are they crossed but when they are the prickly response is the natural reaction. Do not berate yourself for your feelings – know that by being true to yourself and harnessing your inner truth you will behave appropriately in all situations. Trust your feeling response and know you are true in your nature. You can assess where this comes from should you wish, but it is not a necessity. ”

I walk back towards the sun and feel its warm rays upon me – I feel I can just trust this light and walk into it seeing where it takes me. I walk towards the gap between the trees and I see them swaying towards me as encouragement to take the next step I see the center place between these two trees and the brow of a small hill. As I look before me there are rolling hills and country side opening out – I feel an enormous opening in my chest area – my heart chakra opens and I see the sun draw back and smile, the increased warmth and energy say 'run, run, run, free like a child' in my deepest being so I run down the slopes through the fields and onwards, not to get away or to get to, but for the sheer joy of running, like a child playing in a field. I run and run and the energy seems never ending – I feel filled with joy and light. I want to send out this joy to all everywhere and as I run some more I find some standing stones in a circle. They appear as a channelling of energy machine, and I send my exuberance into the circle and it spins round and gathers greater strength and it sent out to all places where joy is needed, where freedom is needed, where there is despair. I send out the joy of life, living and being, to all beings..... As I do I feel less overwhelmed by the energy I was feeling, and peacefulness comes upon me.... I sit in the center of the circle and allow the feelings of peace to fill all areas of myself, and all levels of every thing, every body and every situation I have ever touched in thought or deed. I stay with this. I feel the stillness....
Slowly I come back to my room and my computer as I type these words ... I feel changed by this card and I feel peaceful.... It has been a wonderful experience. I give thanks to All That Is – for I feel I have traveled beyond this card on this journey. I shall take the energy I have been given with me in gratitude.

The readings I offer on the phone, internet, in person or by post are detailed and last between 1/2 hour to an hour, also I record them onto CD or MP3 so you can listen to them time and time again – often people find that the things I have said take on new meanings as time passes and that the information that comes through really helps as situations unfold.
Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or MP3 and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present. I offer readings Face to Face, On Skype video phone, and usual telephone, as well as distance readings without you needing to be present or available when I do the reading for your focus directly onto CD or MP3. Spiritual Development Sessions
I now offer ongoing development sessions where we use guided meditations, readings and counselling techniques of various kinds to help you develop yourself from both a spiritual and psychological point of view. The sessions are very flexible and we can cover what you need in order to gain the most out of your life. Living your life closer and closer to your souls ideal. This is not psychotherapy though - but a regular support with teaching of skills, to help you move through lifes challenges and develop spiritually and psychologically. Personal relationship awareness and self development
By request, I am currently developing a course focusing on psychological self development and awareness of relationship patterns of behaviour we get into time and time again, to be run later on in the year. It will be heavily based on the theories of Transactional Analysis, which is a theory that explores the games we play with each other and the internal sub-personalities of Parent, Adult and Child, with a view to becoming more authentic in our lives. The course will be held online via a forum as my other courses are. It is not connected with tarot reading specifically, however it will be useful in dealing with clients, whether tarot, healing or other supportive professional roles - particularly where you may find challenges of communication. We now offer a beginners module over 3 weeks to help complete beginners to the tarot understand the very basics – enough to be able to take the initial Thoth course, and learn to use your intuition with the tarot from the very start. Initial Thoth Course We are currently taking bookings for the Initial Thoth course starting on January 2012. It covers the psychological and intuitional approaches to reading with the Thoth. There is a good deal of personal work and students often feel they have transfermed personally a lot through the course's duration, in addition to feeling confident with the Thoth and their increasing intuitive skills.
