21 World Tree
I look at the card and see the tree in the center of the card coming forward with stones, and snake coming onto the boarder at the bottom and the leaves onto the border at the top. I feel there is an integration symbolised here, the now is the goal – it has been reached, you have arrived.

I walk into the card....
The snake draws my attention first as he slithers out of the card. “I am the transformation – my job is done I now move on to other pastures to teach lessons anew. Your journey is complete, if you get this card – there is no tearing away or stripping bare, not breaking through – just a gentle knowing that all is in its place as it should be. That the journey has been worthwhile, that there is nothing to change. Accepting and being true to yourself is the key and you have won the key through your efforts. ”
“Thank you snake...” I say “What of the stones?” I ask “We are symbols of the timeless beauty of the earth – we have witnessed many such journeys and transformations – now we are but little stones once enormous rocks – the changes we endure are the nature of things – coming together and splitting apart, we enjoy each journey for its own scenery. When it ends there is a completion and a new beginning follows. Be as still as the rocks as you travel through this time. All is well all is in its place. The difficulties are behind you. There is a celebration awaiting in spirit for all who traverse this place. For it is indeed an achievement. ”
“Thank you stones – I feel from what you say that this card could actually represent someone passing into spirit at the right time. So could be considered timely death. ”
“Yes indeed this is one interpretation but would only be given when the person receiving the message was totally at ease with this knowledge – for I do not bring big shocks and revelations with my energy. ”
“Thank you for your clarification. ” I say
I turn towards the tree – “Oh you stand so big and strong – almost overpowering but as I look up I see the gentle protection offered by your leaves and feel you strong, yet gentle and feel you do not wish to see harm to any, yet you stand strong in yourself – not to be messed with after so many years of growth. I see you bear acorns too, the fruit of your work and the cycle of one journey after another. May I approach?” I ask respectfully – This tree demands my respect and I am reminded of the oaks on Glastonbury, Gog and Magog who once touched my heart. I feel a gentle movement from the tree saying yes approach. I walk up to the tree and embrace the trunk and allow myself to hear the tree within. For such stillness on the outside the first thing I notice is such a rushing of energy on the inside – the life force of the tree seems so passionate and enthusiastic about sending its energy to all parts of the tree – it is invigorating and peaceful at the same time. It feels very balanced and flowing. I feel myself melt into the tree and become one with it – as I do so I experience such joy and playfulness of feeling, I feel I descend in to the roots and up to the highest leaves at the same time – I can feel my strength and the nurturing of the earth, my solidness and also as I feel the leaves and the sunlight upon me I feel the nourishment I receive from being receptive and flexible in the air and from going with the gentle breeze – It is a beautifully exciting feeling – so much joy and also so much stability. I feel this tree has known many things and is beyond judgment of any sort and this has set it free – free to be exactly how it is in its own energy. “Do you have a message for me?” I mentally ask the tree. I am one with.
“I am you – you are me,
Enjoy and be free.
There are no rules – only love,
Be in touch with below and above.”
“Thank you tree – that is quite lovely” – I feel a rippling smile through me as the tree and as me....
I sit for a little while in this energy, I feel the cycles of energy levels – from the summer enthusiasm to the winter retreat and letting go to the spring joyousness, it is like this cycle feels so natural and also so solid – the overwhelming thing is that through all this change in energy the center trunk is so solid there is no wavering here it is the core support and faithfully holds the tree to its height.
“Thank you tree” I say again and I hear a reply – “Remember you too have a solid core know that the winds of change are to be flowed with but that your core spirit will never leave you – you are indeed secure if you remember this.”
“Thank you again you are a tree of great wisdom...”
I find myself hugging the tree again.... separate and yet in contact. I slowly draw away and find myself drawn to the left hand side of the card – where there is the moon and the darkness and a hawk flying high....
“Oh hawk my friend do you have a message for me...?” “You have learnt well, that when it is dark and you can not see the way, fly above the situation gain my sight and know that there is a purpose to all journeys however dark they might seem. You may feel alienated in your knowings but also hold to the truth, that though I may be attacked by crows it doesn't lessen my sight, and that it is not in my nature to be a crow – crows have their own nature and live life by it – do what you can to distract them and remove them from your energetic center but worry not about yourself, for you can see from a height. The darkness is only part of the cycle of day and night, and the moon can help you see what is hidden.” “Thank you” I say “I understand what you are saying”
I ask the moon she says that she reflects so that others may see and that I do this also – when someone is in the darkness, reflected light can be enough to guide the way where the full sunlight is resting in their life to return soon. The moon light can guide through this time. Know that you are both led by the moon in others as well as lead by the light of the moon. We all need to know the mirrors around us can tell us a lot about who we are.
“Thank you moon”, I say “You seem gentle and understanding, and remove the fear.”
I walk across the card and dawn breaks as the sun comes up and I see its warming rays – I feel the warmth, I feel the joy and the energy rise in me. There is a feeling of 'is it really warm enough yet?. Can I trust it will be this warm day?'. I feel this is a message about not always feeling sure when the dawn has broken in our lives and that we so often fear that it is not real what we see before our very eyes and this doubt is only slowly burnt away by the continued presence of the sun.
I go towards the sun looking up as it illuminates the rolling hills below. “Oh Sun what can you tell me of your role in this card?”.
“I am all that is good and light – all that can be seen and all that has been learnt many journeys are about finding qualities we never knew we had and I am the symbol of all those good things discovered. I work in balance with the moon as we show each other ourselves, stand alone and then face each other again. Know that you have both the moon and the sun within you – that as you discover more of yourself you become more aware of the dark and the light within your nature and reflected sunlight in the moon is cast upon your darkest shadows rendering them powerless over you, and known by you. This way the power of the shadow can be harnessed and used for the good, to protect and guide others. We are saying that to come to this place you have seen all sides of yourself and balanced yourself within and in doing this we meet in the tree – great strength is your prize.... We all celebrate! Well done in your achievement, you are one, with yourself and with all.

I take a step back to look at this card and the hawk allows me to fly on his back to see the card from another angle, it seems to me this card is one of great landscapes, vast areas of countryside to explore and know. The hawk shows me that this is the way of this card for it is an entrance as well as an ending – the entrance into a new life, one that is exciting to explore in all its aspects.
“What if it is a reversed card?” I ask the hawk.. Well, he flies upside down for a moment and laughs, you are allowing your roots to blow in the wind and your leaves to stagnate in the damp earth, he rights himself and seems to be giggling.”
“So you are saying I would have the world upside down, trying to make things change that are fixed and to fix things that are to change – yes indeed he says, to be reversed is to not recognise what you have – to not know your own worth and how much you have achieved. It is merely a change of perspective to see that what you wish to change is the beauty of yourself and that which you are trying to maintain is the undoing. Turn your view around, look into the darkness and light of yourself and see if actually you have succeeded already and are only in denial. See the mirrors of your life around you and allow the light to guide you into right seeing. It is like you are delaying the ending, for fear that you will not have anything to stand on in the future without your neuroses. Walk bravely forward and all will be well.”
“Do you have a personal message?” I ask “This message is for you... you will know as you reread, you are at the end of a long journey yourself, you have done well my friend, look to the green man for perspective and your new beginning. Do not delay this end and the new beginning – embrace it in confidence you can see the dark and the light and your tree is well rooted. All is well – see spirit rejoice as it finally clicked with you!”
I grin, it makes a lot of sense and I feel I know why I was so drawn to do this journey at this moment.
“Thank you hawk I say” and he sets me down at the root of the tree – I touch the tree goodbye and thank all who have helped me, I turn and leave the card.

For those of you who have one of our tapes or mp3's the B side visualisation can be ideal for use like this. When you are led into the garden you can visualise the card there in front of you.
Often people find it easier to maintain the focus into the card when using the light visualisation as directed in these journeys. Readings onto CD or Cassette.
The readings I give from my website are detailed and last between 1/2 hour to an hour, also I record them onto CD or tape so you can listen to them time and time again – often people find that the things I have said take on new meanings as time passes and that the information that comes through really helps as situations unfold. Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or tape and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present.
