King of Disks
I look at the card and see a sensitivity in the king here, and also a strength. The sun rise or sun set seems beautiful and full of colour in the background, as is the robin to the foreground.

I walk into the card....
“May I enter?” I say as I stand at the gateway to the card.“You may.” says the king graciously. The robin hops round me curiously – looking at me from all angles it seems – he shows no fear – just interest. “Hello robin – do you have a message for me?” I ask “I am friendly and curious about you – I am looking at how you are dressed and presented and wonder what you wish to portray. I will not judge you but will observe everything. I like to see what is beneath things the raw bones – like the trees in winter, then I can see the stability of what lies before me.”
“What do you see of me?” I ask “You are dressed as authoritative today and I wonder whether you really are, as there is a sense of 'dressing up' about you rather than this being your natural you, I think you like to play with images and peoples perception, and it is a little like you are a clown. Will you show your true feelings?” “Hmm thank you robin – I see your point here and feel you are accurate about me. What do you show the world?” “I too like to rely on image as my protection I use my red breast as a warning to those who wish me harm. I am also very accepting and loving. Though I do not like to be restrained nor overcrowded. I represent these things in people and in yourself as you walk before the king. I serve the king in a loyal manner for he has earned my trust. I value his energy around mine and wish to serve him however I can. ”
“Thank you robin. I would like your help to serve and trust and also be protected from predators.” “I will activate that side of yourself that is me, as you have asked and I will do so for any who come my way. Things are not always what they seem.”
“Thank you again. I am deeply grateful. ”
I turn to the king. “Hello your majesty” I say “Hello – step forward.” he says. “What can I do for you today?” “I would like to know of your energy – of how you see the world and of any messages you have for me or for those who will be reading this in the future. ”
“ My energy is of the wise elder. I am grounded, I have seen so much in my time there is little that will phase me. I can travel these mountainous terrains behind me and weather the storms, handle the hills and the discomfort. I feel everything very deeply and yet do not let the airiness take me from the ground – the earth I walk upon is my support and my comfort – I choose to wear no shoes to show you I have a sensitive side and that, though I can rule with a firm hand, setting clear boundaries, I also appreciate true feelings, the truth of existence and how we have all come from the earth and will return to it one day – this keeps me from taking myself and others too seriously. I know my roots in nature. Nature both feeds me and strengthens me. I have a shield to protect me from willful damage from another, though I rarely have to use it, for all know when they have crossed a line with me, for my energy is open and obvious for all to see. I am good with business and with the healing arts, I like to work with the land and with material things as expression of the ethereal above – for me spirit and earth are one – there is no distinction or choice to be made each are made of the same substance overall and I like to remind myself I am part of this great creation called the earth and all that dwell upon her. ”
“My message to you would be to know there is no conflict in your spiritual path and the physicality of your body, the needs you have here on earth are as spiritual as those emotional and more ethereal needs you focus on so often. As you encompass the physical in your spiritual world view you will find your life becomes simpler and more smooth – while you fight the physical as if it is taking you away from the spiritual you will find things more complicated and you give yourself a hard time. There is no need – all is one and one is all. Know yourself on all levels – develop physically and it will lead you to spiritual realms as much as the emotional, mental and spiritual pursuits you have become so used to thinking in terms of. ”
“Thank you this is good advice indeed.” I say “I will readjust my self judgments and activities to reflect this and I can see how it will simplify my life, from an attitudinal perspective at least. I can see that rubbing off everywhere else too. ”
“For others I remind them of the same, ” He continues “that you need to be in the physical to be able to reach to the heights – this is why were are incarnated on this earth – to be in a position to experience and see all the realms of creation in a unique way. To understand the physical is as much a way to experience the spiritual as any other. Groundedness enables us to 'know' the truth about any situation and see it enacted before our eyes. As you walk see your feet have roots that stretch down to the center of the earth and the earths energy supporting and holding you on your way forward – that wherever you go you can rely on this support and this stability – however unstable you may feel your life is – the earth is with you. Let it support you – let it carry your weight and your burdens. It will transform anything you no longer need into fertiliser for new growth for the earth wastes nothing. As you recycle allow the earth to recycle your energies too. ”
“Thank you oh great king. Your messages are wise and welcomed by us all. I notice your throne has boars heads upon the columns may I talk with them...?” I ask “Yes indeed you may” He replies.
“Hello boars – what do you represent? We are the determination and strength, we stand with the king and support his works. We help him set the boundaries, we help him find what he needs in difficult terrains. We are strong, determined and sure of ourselves. We offer ourselves for food as well as know we are linked with you. We will only be of service when the time is truly right and you have to pass tests of bravery to be worthy of our offerings. The King has passed these tests and we are now his allies in spirit and in truth, in the physical and ethereal. All of you who visit know that it is through the struggle and the pain that we learn – if we embrace even the difficult parts of the journey we find allies within ourselves and within others. Great strength comes from adversity and from the battles we survive. We are symbols of training, endurance and the process of building up strength – both in the physical body and in the emotional and spiritual planes. ”
“Thank you boars – that is very interesting. And I feel particularly pertinent to me at the moment.”
I am about to go and notice the sunset. “What of the sunset?” I ask.... the sky responds “We are the colours of all things, beauty that comes at the end of a long day, when it is time to rest and recover. Remember this phase of your journey – the time approaching resting, the time just before you stop. The 'warm down' can be beautiful, the resolution of a situation can be a time of reflection in the beauty of the process – a time for creative expression, art and music. The rest time is needed for the development to continue – both in death and in sleep. – Do not hurry to sleep but gently approach and appreciate the view, take time for reflection and silence for these things are necessary and more important than you or many realise in this age. As you see the sun of your character show through at the end of the healing and transforming process, you can see the rightness of all things – a brief glimpse of the way of the whole and the underlying patterns of the universe – great truths can be revealed in these times. Enjoy them and realise they too are glimpses and transitory in themselves but to be savoured while present. Each sunset can remind you of this part of the process in transition and life. ”
“Thank you that is wonderful.” I say. I reflect on the card and the messages I have received and feel that yes this experience has been enlightening and more than I expected. I am glad, and turn to slowly walk out of the card. knowing I hold within me the whole experience.

Readings onto CD or MP3.
The readings I offer on the phone, internet, in person or by post are detailed and last between 1/2 hour to an hour, also I record them onto CD or MP3 so you can listen to them time and time again – often people find that the things I have said take on new meanings as time passes and that the information that comes through really helps as situations unfold.
Information is gained both from the tarot cards as well as psychically the two forms of guidance merging together to give insight to any situation you are concerned about, or you general future.
Readings can be done by distance onto a CD or MP3 and sent to you in the post, so there's no need to be living in my area, or need to find a time we can both be present. I offer readings Face to Face, On Skype video phone, and usual telephone, as well as distance readings without you needing to be present or available when I do the reading for your focus directly onto CD or MP3. Spiritual Development Sessions
I now offer ongoing development sessions where we use guided meditations, readings and counselling techniques of various kinds to help you develop yourself from both a spiritual and psychological point of view. The sessions are very flexible and we can cover what you need in order to gain the most out of your life. Living your life closer and closer to your souls ideal. This is not psychotherapy though - but a regular support with teaching of skills, to help you move through lifes challenges and develop spiritually and psychologically. Personal relationship awareness and self development
By request, I am currently developing a course focusing on psychological self development and awareness of relationship patterns of behaviour we get into time and time again, to be run later on in the year. It will be heavily based on the theories of Transactional Analysis, which is a theory that explores the games we play with each other and the internal sub-personalities of Parent, Adult and Child, with a view to becoming more authentic in our lives. The course will be held online via a forum as my other courses are. It is not connected with tarot reading specifically, however it will be useful in dealing with clients, whether tarot, healing or other supportive professional roles - particularly where you may find challenges of communication. Initial Thoth Course We are currently taking bookings for the Initial Thoth course starting on January 2012. It covers the psychological and intuitional approaches to reading with the Thoth. There is a good deal of personal work and students often feel they have transfermed personally a lot through the course's duration, in addition to feeling confident with the Thoth and their increasing intuitive skills.
